Last week WPJA announced their contest results a and we were thrilled to see that two of my images were among those chosen! One from Greer and Dave's wedding at McLean Gardens Ballroom in October and one from Esther and Se's wedding last spring at Baltimore's Renaissance Harborplace.

I've been a bit behind in posting this :) WPJA announced their contest results a few weeks ago and we were thrilled to see that two of my images were among those chosen! One from Liz and Pete's wedding in August at the USNA and one from Lindsay and Sean's wedding in July at Herrington on the Bay. I am now ranked number one in Maryland for WPJA, which is very flattering!

After shooting a fantastic wedding in St. Augustine, Florida this weekend (Serena and Heath at Casa Monica!) I returned home to get some exciting news - one of my images won a place in the Brides Magazine/WPJA jointly sponsored contest. It's an annual competition and it garners entries from many talented wedding photojournalists all over the world. I feel very special :D
The top winning images in each category will be featured in the November/December 2008 issue of Brides magazine.

You may remember our blog entry about Jennifer and Sean's wedding a few months ago. We decided to enter one of their beautiful images in the most recent WPJA contest. Although the client's opinion is my first concern, I was thrilled to see it was recognized by the judges as one of the winning images! Here it is:
